I am a 25-year-old, adventurous, young man. When my ex-boyfriend and I broke up, I made the decision to travel the world, learn a new language experience a new culture and see the world for what it is before I attended university. You see, I am the kind of person that would have dropped out because there were so many things I wanted to see and do, I couldn’t stay focused. At a quarter of century old, I am now eager to work hard, save money and begin university in October of 2018. I would like to study international business in Gdansk Poland. While there I hope to learn the Polish language as well as study French. If I am lucky at the end of the three-year program, I will be able to speak; English, Spanish, Mandarin Chinese, Polish and French. As well, I could have a cultural understanding of not only various European countries but of Latin America as well. I don’t expect to learn them all fluently but I would like to be able to survive in a professional format. I believe that education is the most effective and only way to combat racism and discrimination. I started teaching ESL honestly, because I had no other option to find work when I first arrived to Guadalajara Mexico without a plan. Once I began teaching, I fell in love with it. With teaching ESL, I have the opportunity to not only teach a language and give someone the chance to have an opportunity that maybe they haven’t had before, but also the culture behind the language to create a greater understanding of another corner of the world. After all, if we weren’t meant to explore the world, all four corners would be the same. (there is a quote here I just cannot recall the exact words or whom it was by.)
