Experience the wide variety of sound and style the cello has to offer. Learn from a professional Instructor.

Experienced strings teacher of 6 years available for eager students of all experience levels and ages! I have thirteen years' experience as a violinist in solo, chamber, and orchestral settings. I structure my lessons so students learn a variety of music styles according to their personal interests, while also building a strong foundation of technique, music-reading, and ear-training skills. I specialize in classical repertoire (solo and ensemble), and typically start beginning cellists via the Suzuki method. (Please ask me if you have questions about this! :)

I am a Hampton Roads native holding a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Lee University (Cleveland, TN). I am licensed to teach instrumental and vocal music to grades K-12 and have seven years' experience privately teaching students ages 4 to adult. I currently teach elementary Strings classes from grades K-8, and am certified by the Suzuki Association of the Americas in violin method, volumes 1-5. I have been playing the piano since age 5 (classical, jazz, worship), and the violin for 16 years; I am currently a member of Symphonicity orchestra in Virginia Beach. I am primarily an instrumentalist, but also have 10 years' experience in choral singing, and enjoy teaching beginning voice and Ukulele lessons.
