    About Alexandra L.

I have been singing leading operatic roles in the prestigious houses of North America for the past decade to great acclaim. Houses of note include San Francisco Opera, Canadian Opera Company, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Pittsburgh Opera, Santa Fe Opera, and Minnesota Opera among others. My most performed roles include Puccini's Turandot, Tosca, and Cio-Cio San (Madama Butterfly), Strauss' Elektra, and Verdi's Lady Macbeth and Leonore/Trovatore. I hold a Bachelor of Music degree in voice from Ithaca College, and both a Masters & Graduate Certificate in Vocal Arts from the University of Southern California. I love working with students from all walks of life and ability. Whether a serious professional, or just singing for fun, I will always teach with the same amount of dedication and vigor. I teach a classical technique, but also branch out to work with musical theater and pop students. I believe that classical vocal technique is the foundation for every good singer no matter the style. With me, vocal health comes first. As of now, my studio has moved completely online due to the COVID-19 quarantine, and I use skype, facetime and zoom to conduct lessons. Once the quarantine is lifted, I will be happy to welcome students to my home in Chicago once more.
