Understand the art of singing from a versatile vocal performer of 17 years.

I have been teaching singing for 14 years. I specialize in pairing healthy vocal technique with music that engages your personality to bring out your joy in a musically engaging performance. Singers are actors, too! I teach all genres of music, with a vast knowledge of singing in Italian, French, German, and Spanish, in addition to English. If you have an audition, I can help prepare you and your materials, with focus on healthy breathing and vocal production. I want my students to reach their musical potential and aspirations while having a wonderful time!

Welcome! I'm a singer and instrumentalist who performs everything from opera to musical theatre to piano to ukulele. I have performed all around North America and Europe, but, if I had to pick a favorite city to have performed in, I would have to say Bruges, Belgium! As a teacher, I have taught privately and in the classroom for the past 17 years. I have taught for the University of Southern Maine, the Met Opera Guild Urban Voices as a Master Teaching Artist, for the Boston Symphony Orchestra's Days in the Arts program, for Watertown Children's Theatre, and for the North End Music and Performing Arts Center in Boston, MA where her students have shared the stage with the Boston Landmarks Orchestra. As a performer, her favorite roles include Anita in "West Side Story", Jo March in "Little Women", and Carmen in "Carmen". As a ukulele player, her current favorite songs to play are the hits of Edith Piaf, Josh Ritter, and anything Disney!

I’ve had my ukulele for over two years, and have done nothing with it. Decided the other day it was time, did a google search and found Alexandra on TakeLessons! I have zero music background but she’s made these lessons SOO simple and effective. I have a long ways to go, yet I leave each lesson with a feeling of accomplishment! Wasn’t expecting this to go so well, 110% satisfied. Thanks Alexander :)
