At FGCU, I worked as a student tutor for three years. When I began, I tutored writing, Calculus/algebra, and biology, but as my degree became more focused, I narrowed my specialty to writing/English.

I regularly attended workshops for tutoring methods and was required to provide periodic proof of ability through testing.

I love philosophy (not only because it has 'love' - philo - in the name)! I received my B.A in philosophy and am now getting my PhD in an extremely philosophy heavy comparative literature program. 

I am most competent in Modern Philosophy (1500 - present), with focuses in German (Kant, Nietzsche, Adorno), but I also have plenty of experience teaching Ancient Greek philosophy.

Hello, my name is Alex! I am a lifelong student of Literature and Philosophy. My interests range all over, especially as it concerns teaching. I am about to start my PhD in Comparative Literature at the University of Buffalo, NY, but currently I am living in Berlin, learning German.
