Piano with Alexander (AJ) A.

I am a Music Composer, Songwriter, and Producer. I graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a Music Composition degree. I studied with Grammy-nominated Producer Michael Zager and opened for the Airmen of the Note. I managed Hip Hop Artist Marcus Banks (opened for Ludacris). I play piano, guitar, and trombone. I completed an EP album entitled More than Ordinary that I wrote, recorded, produced, and mixed. I have 10 years of experience teaching lessons. I have taught for Reverb Lessons, Musician's Discount, and also as a self-employed instructor. I studied classical piano during college and performed for Music at Noon events during my study. I have knowledge of Jazz, Classical, Latin, Alternative, R&B, Pop and Christian styles. I like to incorporate music theory, composition, and songwriting techniques during the lessons. I like to draw out of the students and find out their interests and what it is they want to accomplish out of the instrument. I am easy going, kind, personable, and patient. I like to take as much time as needed for the student to learn the material. I encourage them to do much listening to artists that have played their pieces and are similar to the style they are learning. I also recommend for them to listen to artists outside of the style they are currently learning. I write out what the student should work on throughout the week so we can be prepared for what to do on the lesson date. Lessons are relaxed and cover different aspects of playing to create a well rounded sound and musician. I have performed for the Merrick Festival Celebration. I have performed in the Mizner Amphitheatre and the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center. I have performed nationally throughout the US. I have served as a Worship Leader at Crossbridge Church playing live during services and also rehearsing with the group to learn all material. I aspire to create more albums and to also write music for films and radio/television commercials. I am currently working on an album that I would like to release by the end of the year. I like to play sports, exercise, and to both work for and attend live music concerts. I enjoy reading, cooking and writing. I am constantly watching documentaries and reading up on music articles, learning about the latest artists, trends, and musical equipment available.
