Drums with Alex W.

Hi, my name is Alex and I've been playing the drums for over 15 years. I started in school when I was very young and currently play in a rock band. Recently my schedule has opened up so that I can do what I enjoy most: pass on my knowledge to others while doing what I love. For beginner drummers, I have a set of rudiments and exercises that build wrist strength and muscle memory. I like to start out on a drum pad and learn basics before moving on. From there we can move to the drum set, starting with basic beats and move on the more difficult songs and rhythms. I can offer some skills that are not taught in a book. If you are looking to learn how to play improvisation, "jam" or play with a band, I can guide you through that learning curve. I also have a lot of music to share that will train your ears to play the genres you most enjoy. My goal is for you to improve your skills on the drums but also have fun. I certainly will be!
