In 1992 European-trained Maestro Alex opened his private music school and began accepting students. Alex received a Master of Arts from the Academy of Music of Latvia (USSR). For many years he worked at the LA County High-School of Arts and Cal State University of Los Angeles as accompanist, vocal coach and musical director. Many of Alex's students have gone onto exciting careers in the entertainment industry. LESSON DETAILS: The wide diversity of music styles in existence today means that every performer must develop his own niche in the musical world. Alex's teaching method is simple yet effective. It can be applied to all musical styles and levels. Your lesson begins with warm-up exercises: musical aerobics that help to develop technical skills, and are fun to do. The balance of your lesson is dedicated to the music you naturally love and are eager to learn. Your personal music book and all learning material is included. Piano studio has a baby grand piano, comfy sofa, fire place, big-screen TV, paintings and plants that create a cozy yet professional atmosphere. Vocal studio has Kurzweil Grand Piano, i Mac, recording studio, Tyros work-station, top-notch sound system, music library, copy machine, water fountain. He can make great instrumental tracks and song arrangements, record your voice, transcribe your songs, and more. MAESTRO ALEX V. (M.A.) Alex was born in Riga, Latvia (USSR). His musical career started at young age of 4. His solid musical training spanned for sixteen years culminating in Master of Arts in Music. Alex worked as a leading singer/actor at the State Musical Theater and Riga Film Studios of Latvia. After moving to Los Angeles he worked as a pianist, vocal coach and musical director at the LA County High-school of Arts and Cal State University of Los Angeles. Now Prof Alex V. works at his home in W Hollywood. He composes and arranges music, and maintains a select list of privately tutored students. Working directly w prof.
