I was passionate about music when I was younger, but I never had the tools to get where I wanted. Music was always a mystery to me and I got stuck learning from tabs and not stepping out of my circle of knowledge. It wasn't until I pursued music seriously that my love for the art really took off. I suggest doing the same! Let me help you get there quicker! I received my associates degree in music from Ohlone College in Fremont, CA, and my Bachelors in music from San Jose State University Spring of 2019. I have taught guitar, bass, piano, and composition to students from 8-80 over the past 13 years. I am excited to meet you and to help you succeed!

I have a very low music talent. The only thing I've wanted to learn is playing the Guitar. When I signed up for lessons with Alex, I thought I was going to just practice some notes by rote but lucky for me Alex is a kind of teacher who teaches more wholesome. He covered theory and also focused on listening and understanding the theory of music as well. His patience is infinite.
We highly recommend Alex as a passionate music teacher, who worked patiently with our son on ukulele for over 2 years. In addition to becoming comfortable with the instrument, our son learned many foundational principles of music. Alex built a rapport with our son quickly and always found ways to make the lessons engaging and ways to maximize his practice time between lessons. Working with Alex was easy. We always tried to stick to established lesson times, but he was always accommodating with scheduling changes. Thanks Alex!
