    About Alex L.

I was passionate about music when I was younger, but I never had the tools to get where I wanted. Music was always a mystery to me and I got stuck learning from tabs and not stepping out of my circle of knowledge. It wasn't until I pursued music seriously that my love for the art really took off. I suggest doing the same! Let me help you get there quicker! I received my associates degree in music from Ohlone College in Fremont, CA, and my Bachelors in music from San Jose State University Spring of 2019. I have taught guitar, bass, piano, and composition to students from 8-80 over the past 13 years. I am excited to meet you and to help you succeed!

Great lessons! I'm learning a lot. Alex always gives great feedback and helps me know what to practice during the week between lessons. I'm enjoying the process of learning a lot more now.

He's my first piano teacher and music teacher in general, and I feel like I am learning at a very good pace and not overwhelmed at all!

I have a very low music talent. The only thing I've wanted to learn is playing the Guitar. When I signed up for lessons with Alex, I thought I was going to just practice some notes by rote but lucky for me Alex is a kind of teacher who teaches more wholesome. He covered theory and also focused on listening and understanding the theory of music as well. His patience is infinite.
