Acoustic Guitar with Alex K.

I’ve been playing the Acoustic Guitar for about 20 years now and within those 20 years, I’ve had a lot of experience playing and singing, from small churches, nursing homes, weddings and funerals to the 4,500+ member church where I am currently part of the Worship team. I even once had the opportunity to play and sing for a couple of writers in Nashville, which was super cool! Now, you may be thinking, “Alex, a lot of experience isn’t the only thing that makes a great guitar teacher.” Well . . . you’re right! It takes MUCH more than that! Among other things, it takes a keen awareness of a student’s abilities and skills, a great curriculum, a teacher’s heart and a strong desire to see your students succeed. Experience isn’t the only thing I’ll be bringing to your lessons. I want you to do well and I want you to progress as quickly as you can. And just as much as I want you to be successful, I want you to have fun also! Playing the guitar IS fun, but it can become boring very quickly if your instruction isn’t adequate. There has to be a strong balance between playing, fundamentals and music theory for your lessons AND your guitar playing to remain fun. I can give you that balance so that you will not only progress in your musical abilities and knowledge, but you’ll be PLAYING and really enjoying it in the process!
