I was the lead instructor at a Guitar Center Studios in Columbus, OH. Not only did I teach individual students but I also ran summer camps with kids.

I was the bass player in the show band onboard Holland America Line cruise ships.

I was the Band Leader for the show band onboard Holland America Line cruise ships. I was in charge of running guest entertainer rehearsals and party sets in the various lounges onboard as well as managing a 6-piece band.

I was the bass player in an 8-piece R&B/Blues/Soul band onboard Holland America Line cruise ships. The bands are affiliated with the B.B. King Blues Club, based out of Memphis, TN. We were the main lounge act onboard the ships.

I have been playing music professionally since I graduated High School in 2008. I played in various bands all around my hometown of Columbus, OH while I attended Ohio State University as well as after I graduated and I continue to play music professionally to this day.

My whole philosophy is teaching what the student wants to learn. Especially when the student is paying for the lesson, they should get exactly what they want out of the lesson. Learning an instrument should be fun and exciting and my approach is to teach the student the things about music that make it fun and exciting for them.

Hi my name is Alex and I teach guitar and bass lessons. I have been playing music professionally since 2008 and hold a Jazz Performance degree from Ohio State University. For the past 6 years I have been working on cruise ships traveling the world and playing all kinds of different music. I'm looking forward to getting to know each of you and help you become the kind of musician you aspire to be!
