I have had 3 years of teaching practicum. I will be certified to teach this coming July.

TESOL

I was an English instructor for college age students and adults in Malang, Indonesia. I taught intermediate students. All of the students' first language was Indonesian.

Teaching English as a Second Language

I was a volunteer at an ESL program in Louisville, Kentucky. I would help the students in the classroom as their instructor taught. I also taught the class a few times. The languages spoken by the students varied between 5 different languages.

Over time with taking ESL lessons, you should be able to see improvement. ESL lessons with me will be fun but also will build on what you know, therefore it will be challenging as well! My goal in teaching ESL is improvement. I will always be aware of the place my student is at and not push them beyond their abilities. Improvement is the goal, but that takes time. Patience and fun will always be present in my ESL lessons!

I would love to help you bring your English skills to life! No matter your age, I believe you are capable of reaching your goals in your English proficiency. There is a place in everyone's life to continue learning. I not only want to meet you where you are at in your skills and goals, but I also want you to be passionate about where you want to be in life because of your knowledge of the English language. Learning a new language can be discouraging, but not with me! I will show you that not only can you improve, but you can be confident in your improvement.
