Hello! I am a Master's Cello Performance student at The Peabody Institute of Music. I was a late starter at the cello, having begun serious studies at the age of 14 and playing Double Bass beforehand for 4 years. Therefore, I had to become a musical "detective" so to speak and figure out a lot of things for myself in great detail. This is why teaching has become one of my passions in life. I have taught ages 10-31 and am constantly fascinated by how I can help all my students reach their fullest potential on and away from the cello. We will talk about the technical aspects of the cello in a way that serves the music, discuss anything and everything music related and have a lot of fun doing it! Which brings me to my  final point: Music is made for pleasure, it is a healing art form, it is a way to expressive the deepest things in your heart and it is a life long friend which will teach you about life, what being human being is all about and it will reward you with a beauty in which you will experience for the rest of your days on Earth.

I am a Conservatory trained musician and have a wide range of professional experience from concerto appearances with several orchestras to leading cello sections in professional regional orchestras. Alex was my teacher for 2 years. His passion for music and the cello are infectious. He pushed me when I needed to be pushed (even if I didn't think I did).
