I’ve studied and worked as a musician, engineer, and educator in Ecuador, Spain, and the US. I got my bachelor’s degree at Berklee College of Music in Music Production and Engineering and Music Business and Management. After graduating, worked as a full-time professor of sound engineering and music production at Berklee BIN school, Universidad San Francisco de Quito (USFQ), one of the highest ranked universities in South America, where I taught eight classes per semester for two years, all in Spanish. In 2014, I joined the faculty of CSU, Chico, where I teach Recording Arts and Music Industry courses. I enjoy recording and mixing regularly on music and film projects.

Alek is a respectful, gentle and friendly person. His experience at teaching was easy to notice right from our first lesson. He is a patient teacher when explaining concepts. He takes the time to make sure I can do/use the software by myself. He is also good at explaining trouble shooting process and answers all of my questions with a good attitude. I definitely recommend him, he is a teacher you can trust!
