I am an enthusiastic and experienced teacher for all skill levels, from helping someone make their very first sound to coaching grad student recitals.My students love lessons, and improve rapidly. I am an active performer, and have a master of music from Manhattan School of Music, NYC. All students receive a free, customized assignment sheet with recorded examples after every lesson.

Alaunde was by far my favorite teacher for flute. She helped me come up with ways to motivate me to practice often, and lessons with her were always fun. Out of all my teachers (three total) I feel that she helped me progress the most. And in additon to being a fantastic teacher, she was also a wonderful friend.

My son hated the flute and refused to practice. At school concerts he would fake play. We took a few lessons with Alaunde and suddenly he was spontaneously practicing and having fun. She was great, set up a recital for him and played with him so he didn't feel embarrassed. She is very nice, patient and encouraging, the perfect teacher!

Alaunde is among the most talented musicians in Colorado. It always makes me a better musician to work with her. While I play and teach harp, I also have taken flute lessons from her. She is committed to her art and to sharing it with others. She helped me find the best technician in the area to refurbish my flute and she inspired me with her skill and humor to challenge myself to be a better musician. It is a privilege for any student to have the opportunity to work with a world class musician such as Alaunde. I can't speak more highly of her.
