Jazz, Latin-Jazz, Classical, Tin Pan Alley, Broadway, and Popular/Contemporary. I use traditional methods for Classical, history of music and personal history of the major composers. I've also devised applications of the Suzuki method concepts into Jazz. For the study of the Great American Songbook, I enrich the student with history & context of the music, investigating its origins, like what part of a play or movie it was. Also in depth study of meaning in the lyrics.
