Drumming is a passion of mine since 1972 when I first started to play on my cousins drum set next door. When I entered in to High School I became the first freshman drummer in Marina High Schools history to be selected to play & tour Europe twice with their pop vocal group called the Mariners. Later I joined many professional bands doing studio recordings from 1978 to present day. I taught drums to a group of special needs kids in Ohio and that was very rewarding for me to see them drumming good and taking drumming seriously. I have been on national radio as drummer for a rock band called The Tweezers and International TV while I was the drummer/co-producer for a band called Bad Juju that was on MTV worldwide and we opened up for a well known rock group called: Living Color. I studied drumming under the direction of the legendary Joe Porcaro privately at his home in 1981 and he taught me some amazing things about drumming in various time signatures & proper technique in drumming overall. Over the years I have work with as opening band for The Bangles, War, Shenna Easton and many others. I did two live performances with two well known guitarists. Mark Kendall who later became the founder of the super rock group Great White and also Neal Schon who was one of the founding members of the rock group Journey. Lately, I have gone back into music production for original songs I wrote for my cd called: Alan Sweet Project or "Asp Dig-it-al" and this cd will feature amazing singers and musicians selected in my city of Kent, WA. and it has already has captured amazing tracks by legendary musicians such as: Abraham Laboriel Sr., Michael Landau, and Alex Acuna with more that are interested like them to still come in as my very special guest musicians. You will be getting a good drum teacher in me that can surely show you new things if you are open minded in learning as much as I can show you. It's up to you whether you are just starting out or have been playing/performing for years. I have learned and pull from the BEST drummers alive and I am still learning at age 57 now. Anyway, hope to hear from you and happy drumming! Alan CK Sweet of Asp band/prod. feat. the REAL STARS Of Music!

Alan has had over 40 years' experience playing the drums and percussion instruments. During this time, he has been tutored by the great drummer, Joe Porcarro, instructed kids on the drums, and has had about 40 years experience playing in numerous bands. He is presently serving as the drummer on his Worship Team, and have endeavoring to produce another CD. On top of all of this, he loves children and wants to make a difference in their lives.

Alan is genuine in his passion to play drums and to share his knowledge and passion with others. He's a very likable guy and would be a great teacher for anyone getting started or just trying to learn new technique.
