Hello prospective student! My name is Alan Margolies, I'm 28 years old, and I've been playing guitar for over 10 years now. I'm friendly, patient, and enjoy helping students of all ages and abilities achieve THEIR goals. As a self-taught musician, I understand many of the struggles and frustrations of learning guitar on your own. There are also many bad habits that a beginner can develop without proper guidance. Every student is different and I customize my lessons individually for each student. Whether you want to learn the classic way, starting with basic music theory, or you just want me to teach you how to play that one guitar riff from your favorite song, it's up to you. I cannot wait to meet you for our first lesson.
