Hi there and thanks for stopping by. I'm an electric bass player with a history of touring around the world playing rock, funk, and jazz styles. I graduated from Berklee College of Music with a Bachelor of Music. I am currently teaching and playing music professionally. I have had the opportunity to play on countless records and to play with many Grammy award-winning artists. My students ranging in ability from beginner to professional. Currently, I play in a number of bands in NYC and record and tour around the US and in Europe as well. Currently, I am only offering online lessons. I work with bass players in a wide range of abilities, some are beginners and I have some who are professional as well. I can help you prepare to nail an audition, or if you just want to get into music I can also help. I tend to focus on making sure my students learning experience is stress-free and fun (most importantly) Some of the musical styles I regularly teach Rock, Blues, Jazz, Funk, Soul, R&B, Classical. ***Lesson Details*** My students will gain the following from consistent lessons Techniques - Slapping, Popping, Playing with Fingers vs Playing with a Pick Improvisation Creating interesting bass lines Learning songs in order to have a good foundation for future development. I tend to focus on learning songs instead of learning "boring" exercises. Although there is one exercise I really like to use, I make sure I put it in a playing context rather than playing it by itself. You get more benefit from learning songs and working on a difficult groove or phrase rather than spending a lot of time playing nonmusical exercises. Hope to hear from you and start learning some good music!

Akos is AMAZINNNGGG!!! This was my first lesson, and I learned soooo much! I am definitely looking forward to my next lesson!! If you are looking to learn Bass, look no further, Akos is your guy!!!
I have thoroughly enjoyed taking bass guitar lessons from Akos. He not only teaches basics, but he also keeps me challenged with chords and new songs to learn. And importantly, he teaches at my speed which makes it easy and fun to learn.
Very informative, comfortable, and fun at the same time. Looking forward to additional lessons!
