I am a music teacher, music therapist, singer, pianist, guitarist, and English Teacher. I graduated with my Bachelor’s in Music Therapy from the University of Georgia, with a focus in classical voice, and a minor in TESOL. I am familiar with the online learning environment, having been an online student myself since middle school. As a Board-Certified Music Therapist, I am experienced in working with a wide range of ages and individuals with a variety of special needs. I love using music to help people work on non-musical goals, but I also have a passion for music itself! Teaching others to discover the soaring feeling of mastering a song is one of my favorite experiences. My approach is focused on making music accessible and attainable to all levels of ability. As a music therapist, I play guitar, piano, ukulele, and percussion on a regular basis, and enjoy trying out other fun instruments on the side, from the tin whistle to the harp. My favorite instrument, though, is the voice! Get ready to make music, and maybe even write your own music with me!* I am fascinated with language learning, development and teaching. I have studied and participated in research into various music-assisted ESL teaching techniques with children and adults, and am excited to utilize them in my lessons. Also, as a student of the Russian language for over 10 years, I can identify with the struggles of learning another language.
