Hi! I'm Aidan, a trombone performance graduate student at UCLA. I've been playing euphonium, tuba, tenor and bass trombones for 14 years. I am currently a teaching assistant at UCLA and teach several other groups, both in the US and in Japan.
You may have seen my YouTube channel, where I have made instructional videos since 2007 on a variety of issues.
I am currently the Assistant Caption Head at Pacific Crest Drum and Bugle Corps, in addition to my euphonium section tech duties.
In this position I work more with the full ensemble, both from the field and the box level.
I work with the Aimachi Marching Band in Nagoya, Japan as a brass consultant. In 2015, Aimachi won the All-Japan National Championships, as well as the brass, percussion, and colorguard captions.
I am the euphonium tech for the 24-person euphonium section at the World Class drum corps Pacific Crest. I teach at monthly camps, as well as traveling with the group on their nationwide tour in the summer.\
In this position, I work both with the 24 members individually with small lessons and as a section during sectional time and during normal rehearsal.
Bass Trombonist of UCLA Gluck Trombone Quartet, a gigging group composed of UCLA students only.
I'm one of the teaching assistants for the UCLA Marching Band. I teach the brass and especially the 40-person trombone section every fall. I also perform from time to time with the band, including a trip to Taipei, Taiwan.
