I have been performing professionally for over 10 years. Notable performances include; the Clef Club in Philadelphia, Millennium 04 Big Band (Philadelphia), Oakridge Symphony Orchestra, Caracas Symphony Orchestra, Knoxville Jazz Orchestra, and many jazz festival performances. As a teacher, I am able to use my knowledge of many musical genres (Classical, Jazz, Latin, R&B, etc) to benefit the student's musical understanding as a whole. I believe that being flexible is the most important quality a teacher can have. I understand that not every student learns the same way and that it is my job to be as creative as possible so that the student will be able to view different ideas that may help them. More specifically, I use the Faber Piano Adventure Books for beginners, and the Czerny and Hanon books for intermediate. For Brass, I use the Essential Elements 2000 for beginners, and Arban's complete conservatory method, Carmine Caruso method, and Arnold Jacobs breathing exercises for intermediate to advanced levels. Furthermore, I am able to work with special needs students, and I speak fluent Spanish.
