Broadway Singing with Adina S.

**Due to Covid-19 recomendations, I am currently ONLY teaching Online Lessons!** Hi! I'm Adina S. I am very excited to help you achieve your singing goals, whether they be big or small! My main objective as your teacher is to help you find your personal singing voice, and use it to your greatest potential. I have a good mixture of formal education and work experience. This makes it easy for me to pass on the healthy techniques and also be current on what to expect in an audition or creating a successful performance. I attended the American Musical and Dramatic Academy with focus on Musical Theatre. I also studied at Glendale College and performed in their choir and jazz ensemble. I have received 10 years of private voice instruction with many wonderful teachers hailing from USIU, UCLA, and Pepperdine University. I have been a professional singer and musical theatre performer for 14 years, and have performed all over southern California. I recently have started musically directing for high school shows and also the youth choir at my church. I will continue part time in performance, but now wish to share my knowledge, skills, and the joy of singing with others! *** Lesson Details *** All my lessons start with warming up the voice using scales and breathing exercises. We will also spend time to focus on new healthy singing habits. We will learn the basic fundamentals of reading music - applied to the songs we have picked to sing. We will pick at least 2 songs to be working on at all times. I always allow my students to pick their songs. Singing what you love always pays off. I will provide handouts and sheet music for your at home practice, so bringing a folder/binder of some sort is encouraged. *** Studio Equipment *** Yamaha electric piano, ability to play CD and mp3 players, recording ability. *** Specialties *** Broadway, Breathing, Vocal Performance, acting a song.
