In 2020 I completed my BA in Music Performance, graduating summa cum laude from the University Honors Program at Eastern Connecticut State University. My undergraduate teachers were Chris Howard of the US Coast Guard band on clarinet, and Rebecca Calissi on piano. I am currently studying with Dr. Andy Hudson and Dr. Anthony Taylor as I pursue my Master of Music in Clarinet Performance at the University of North Carolina Greensboro. As a graduate student, I have been section leader of both the University Symphony Orchestra and the University Wind Ensemble, the two top ensembles at UNCG. I am also a current member of the honor group Appalachia: A Southeastern Wind Symphony. As a teacher, I have prepared students for successful performances and auditions, with many piano students succeeding in studio recitals and clarinet students earning positions in regional ensembles as early as their freshman year of high school. As an undergraduate, I was active in many ensembles as well as performing frequently as a soloist via both the clarinet and piano studios. I was recognized in four honors recitals, received a named scholarship from the music faculty, and received an undergraduate creative activity fellowship from my university. I was selected to perform in the College Band Director Associations's Eastern Division honor band in all four years, and won the New England Band Director's solo competition in 2019. In high school I was a member of many region, state, and national ensembles and can help students thoroughly prepare for those types of auditions. For piano, I will help beginners learn to navigate the keyboard and begin reading music. Piano students beginning with me will use the Faber Piano Adventures Series. I enjoy teaching young students and aim to cultivate a fun environment that will build a lasting love of music. Students will receive performance opportunities via virtual recitals. My goal is to provide a comfortable, fun environment for all students to learn and succeed as they find confidence expressing themselves through music. Lessons in both instruments will be customized to each student's needs, goals, and personality. Don't hesitate to send me a message with any questions- I look forward to hearing from you and will respond as quickly as I am able. If you are interested in yoga classes, please send me a message to schedule a free consultation before booking lessons! Yoga sessions can be purchased along with music lessons to focus on enhancing the experience you have while playing your instrument, or as classes in their own right. Yoga lessons can be purchased and scheduled as you choose, rather than through a recurring time slot, can be group or individual, and will be personalized to your goals. Since they need not be at a recurring time slot, I can be more flexible with scheduling than what shows on my calendar- again, send me a message!

She is the bestest Piano teacher EVER and she is so nice and sooo fun and I hope she’s my piano teacher forever!!!
My daughter loved her. She is so patient, kind and really positive. Her energy is wonderful and kept Anjali engaged. She is great at showing what to do even online and then also great with teaching theory as well. Overall, great teacher.
I have two daughters taking lessons from Adella and she is great. She is patient, she makes sure they learn what they are doing before moving on and my daughters have been learning piano from level 0 with her, and they love it! I would highly recommend Adella, we are very happy with her services.
