I've taken classes with Adan for over two years now--since the beginner level--and I couldn't be more pleased.

Adan is an excellent and conscientious teacher who genuinely cares about working with students to find the best approach for making progress. He has a gift for explaining things clearly, both the grammar and the idiomatic details that are important for developing conversation and getting a real feel for the language. The material is very well chosen, fun and productive; class is something I look forward to every week.

Learning a new language is a challenge and working with a good teacher makes a huge difference. Adan is a great choice!

I have been working with Adan for over 2 years and he is an amazing teacher!! He has taught me Spanish at beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels. He has helped me to learn the vocabulary, grammar and content that I need for my job. Adan draws upon a variety of engaging resources (e.g., Ted Talks, television shows, news articles) to expand my knowledge of Spanish and the culture of Spanish-speaking countries. Adan's classes are interesting and challenging and he makes me feel successful and motivated to learn more. I highly recommend him!

Adan has been my teacher for the past year, and I only have great things to say. He is warm, patient, curious, present, and clearly loves to teach. Adan has a thorough understanding of English, so he is well aware of the difficulties English speakers face when learning Spanish. I find the one-to-one, structured, progressive grammar lessons work so well for me. As a beginner who doesn't speak any other languages, making the decision to learn Spanish was very intimidating for me, but now I look forward to my lessons...always!

Adan is always prepared for classes with articles to read, current events to discuss, recommendations on good websites and news sources. He mixes up the class with both reading and discussion. He is very patient! I think my Spanish has improved since I've been studying with Adan. Highly recommend him.

I have had a number of tutors and even went to Mexico for 2 weeks to do an immersion and by far I would recommend Adan and his format to anyone. 1st he is patient and is able to explain not only the language and how it is used but more importantly for me, the structure of the language...If you know the structure and how the pieces fit together...the rest is just vocabulary and the various verb tenses. Adan's building block approach works..As everyone does, I stumble with vocabulary and verb tenses, but as a result of working with Adan I can normally understand and catch my error and figure out how to correct it. I spend 2 hours a week with Adan and thus far have spent over 80 hours him. I am committed to learning Spanish and with Adan's tutoring I know I'll get there.

Adan is a great teacher! He made adjustments as needed, spending the appropriate amount of time both giving instruction and allowing practice. I liked his approach, in using real-world videos and examples to be translated real time. It was great practice for learning more conversational Spanish, while still learning the basics of proper grammar.
