I am a junior at the University of Dayton and study marketing in the school of business. I have been playing percussion since I was in fifth grade, and it is a huge part of my life. I have been a part of a variety of music ensembles, but my forte (ha, see what I did there?) is in marching percussion and drum set. I was a member of a WGI Independent Percussion ensemble called NEXUS Indoor for two years, in which I played marching snare. At UD, I play marching snare for the Pride of Dayton and I am the section leader of its drumline. I have played drum set with a multitude of groups including the Flyer Pep Band, and have been tutored by professional percussionists in multiple styles of drum set playing such as rock, funk, and basic jazz rhythms.
My main focus as a teacher is to help students achieve their goals as percussionists. Whether they are preparing for marching band camp or wanting to learn some new beats on drum set, I will provide the material and exercises they will need.
