Adam has been teaching in various subjects since 2011, and is currently available to teach lessons at home or at your location of choice.
Adam started on Clarinet in 2nd grade, and then started learning guitar in 2009. He received his degree in Commercial Music at Azusa Pacific University, where he worked as a Music Theory Tutor, TA, and MIDI Lab technician.
Adam's teaching style encourages students to ask important questions, understand ideas at a conceptual level, and never to settle for "good enough" in place of "best." Lessons are always structured with your specific goals in mind, and can include a blend of a variety of topics to suit your needs.

Adam was our Theory 4 tutor and he did an amazing job making it comprehensible and make sense!
Adam is a wonderful tutor and help. He’s patient with those he is teaching & he looks for ways to teach and demonstrate the material in a whitty, impactful manner. He knows everything there is to know about music theory and much more, and a lot of my success in passing all four levels of music theory points back to this guy!+ Read More
My name is Mary Mercurio Santos, and I am the Tutoring and Supplemental Instruction Coordinator for Azusa Pacific University. Adam worked under my direct supervision as a Tutor and Supplemental Instruction Leader for approximately three years while he was an undergrad at APU.
Adam's knowledge of music, and Music Theory is extensive and comprehensive, and yet he has the ability to break down these complicated theoretical concepts and make them easy to understand for even the most basic learner. I have seen him successfully tutor students at all levels of musical knowledge and experience. If you need to know ANYTHING about music, I strongly recommend you reach out to Adam for services.

He is very knowledgeable of the subject, and has a clear, friendly, and logical teaching approach that makes the experience fun. He can explain topics and concepts in a way that is easy to understand.
He is also very knowledgeable in music composition, arranging, and in the use of Logic Pro software that he could use while teaching theory.
Very helpful, patient, and knowledgable. Adam is a great teacher that I would recommend to anyone.
Adam is extremely knowledgeable and knows how to help people with what they don't understand. He explains things as clearly and simply as possible and is good at finding other ways of explaining things if you don't understand the first time. Adam was great! Very helpful. The only thing that was difficult was finding times to get together. I know that many in the class struggled to meet with Adam. Other than that, keep it up!
Adam explains things in a way that makes you think critically about the subject and gives logical ways to work through theory problems. HES THE BEST IMSTRUCTOR EVER! I would not have passed theory without him
So far, I've only had one lesson with Adam but I am looking forward to lots more. Adam seems very astute & knowledgeable not just in guitar-playing but in music theory, which is exactly what I'm lookin for in an instructor. He's helping me correct a few bad habits I've developed over the years, on my own. The way he explains things is very simple & to the point. I definitely recommend him based on my first lesson. I'll see if I can update my review at some point in the future but unless something goes horribly wrong, I wouldn't anticipate much to changen+ Read More
