Hello parents/students, I have been playing bass and guitar for over 11 years. I play professionally in the NWOH/MI area, I studied music at Bowling Green State University and got my Bachelors of Music in jazz studies spring of 2012. I am friendly, outgoing, and passionate about what I do. I love playing music, and I love talking about music! I tend to work mainly as a "For Hire" bassist with many acts around the area; jazz, blues, rock, etc. In addition to local work I have played with major artists Balawan (Indonesia music star, Sony BMG), Mark Kroos (Touring artist, Guitar Player Magazine guitar player of the year), and a gig with grammy winners The New York Voices (GRP Records). I also am the house bassist at Blessed John XXIII Catholic Church, I work part time there playing bass in the house band. In my youth, in Celina, OH. I studied guitar/bass with Matt Speca, a Berklee graduate, and early on he gave me fundamentals that led me to a lot of good things. My next teacher was Mitch Campbell, one of the few jazz guitarists in my small town. He sent me in some advanced directions and taught me about advanced harmony and theory. My next teacher John Fioriello (Eastern University graduate, touring musician) got me prepared for college. At college I studied with renowned bassist Jeff Halsey, guitarist Chris Buzzelli, and NYC recording artist David Bixler. Since graduating I consider all my friends and colleagues my teachers because you always pick things up and you never stop learning. I love all kinds of music, I love jazz, funk, R&B, blues, rock, reggae, and even classical. Some favorite bands/artists of mine are The Beatles, Weezer, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sublime, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Miles Davis, Weather Report, D'Angelo, Erykah Badu, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Clapton.... the list goes on & on I hope I can turn you on to some of these artists and I hope you can turn me on to some music you like. I love sharing the gift of music whether teaching or playing, it's definitely my true love, and my passion. Thank you for visiting my page, I hope you are interested in taking lessons. *** Lesson Details *** The first lesson I will sit down with you and really figure out what you wanna learn and what you wanna do. We'll learn plenty of technique, but I like to teach by playing music you like so as soon as we can we'll be playing songs you want to play and songs that I think will help you further your playing. If you want pushed, I will push you, if you wanna lay back and learn songs I will do that. Its what the student wants. I don't require students to buy any books. I have some books that I may use in lessons, but I won't require you to buy anything although I may make recommendations. Things you can learn from me: Chord strumming, advanced chords, theory, music notation reading, improvising, soloing, how to play in a band... anything you want to do I will get you where you want to be! *** Studio Equipment *** Amps, keyboards, drums, stands, I got more then you need! *** Travel Equipment *** I would only expect the student to have their instrument and notebooks. *** Specialties *** Jazz, rock, pop, R&B, and most styles. Emphasis on playing by ear and playing with feeling. Emphasis on music theory and understanding what you're playing. Also a big emphasis on learning to have fun.

I had taken lessons years ago from a music store and my experience with Adam was wonderful compared to my previous experience. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and am ready to continue. Thank you. Jack

Adam is an excellent instructor. He kept my 9 year old granddaughter motivated from week to week. He made learning "fun" & designed his instruction around the kind of music she is interested in. He kept her challenged with things to practice from week to week. Adam is great with kids and I highly recommend him for anyone wanting to learn or expand their knowledge of guitar. Adam is not only talented, but very personable.

I really enjoyed having Adam as a Ukulele instructor! He was very friendly, professional and accommodating. He went out of his way to find songs for me to learn that were within my ability. I've never played a musical instrument before and he not only taught me the basics of how to play the ukulele, but some fundamental music principals. Adam even took the time to research how to help me fix my ukulele when the supplier I bought it from was no help. He is a very talented musician and is patient with beginners. I would highly recommend Adam if you are looking for a music instructor!
