    About Abigail S.

Hello everyone! I am Abigail and I am a recent college graduate from the University of Arkansas. My degree is a Bachelors in Vocal Music Education and I am currently on my way to getting my teaching license! I have been singing for about 10 years and doing it professionally for 4. With me as your teacher, you can expect to learn a lot about proper vocal techniques needed in all styles of singing. It is very important that proper technique is used in order to ensure that the student does not injure themselves! You can sing anything that you want as long as you use proper technique! Each student is their own individual and has their own sound, so I will work with you to make sure that we are doing what is best for your voice, as well as accommodating your wishes. Singing is a great way to release stress and have fun, and I will show my students all of the different ways that they can achieve this. I specialize in classical and opera styles, but enjoy singing pop, indie, and musical theater selections as well. Throughout college I participated in opera theater, where I learned a lot about acting, stage presence, projection, and opera style. If you are wanting to learn more about opera or musical theater, I would love to help you on your journey! One of my prides from my college experience was my choral singing. I was a part of the University of Arkansas’ premiere choir, the Schola Cantorum. While I sung with that group, I was able to tour multiple states around the country and even one international trip to the Republic of Serbia. I finished my college choral career by singing with them at a prestigious choral conference where we received very high praise. I look forward to hearing from you, and I hope that you are ready to learn a lot and have a blast while doing so. Let me help you on your path to becoming a better musician and to develop a lifetime love of singing!
