I LOVE music. I LOVE teaching. I LOVE people. I have been playing the piano for twenty years and teaching the piano and music theory for ten. I have competed in and won competitions all over my province ( I'm Canadian ;) ), performed for thousands of people across the globe, and have taught over fifty students in my ten years.
My name is Abby, and I am from Barrie, Ontario, Canada. At 17 I went to school in Pensacola, Florida, and in 2016 after graduation, I moved to Fairfax to teach English at Fairfax Baptist Temple Academy. There, I met my now husband and after a year and three months apart due to immigration, we are finally able to start our lives together.
Before heading to college, I learned the piano from the best teacher in my province, Cheryl Graham. She taught me classical music, improvisation, music history, music theory, pedagogy, accompanying and harmony, molding me into the well-rounded musician today. She BELIEVED in me and pushed me to lengths I did not know were obtainable. She, apart from my parents, is my biggest fan and role model This is my goal for my students. Just like my teacher did, I want to stretch them through my believe and unwavering faith in them. I want to take them to new heights and enable them to be the best musicians they can be.
