Levels taught:
Beginner, Intermediate
I have been teaching private piano lessons for five years, and I love working with children of all ages and skill levels. I have been playing the piano for 17 years, and began at a very young age. Because of this, I strongly believe that if there is a desire to learn, the age you start does not matter. I work well with both beginner level students and intermediate level students. I was taught using the Suzuki method, and I use parts of that method in my own teaching. I also incorporate basic music theory lessons into my teaching.

About Abigail C.

I'm currently a student at Eastman School of Music, majoring in Piano Performance. I began taking piano lessons when I was two years old and loved every minute of it. I enjoy working with children of all ages, and strongly believe that if there is a desire to learn, the age at which you begin does not matter.

I began teaching private piano lessons in 2014, and I have enjoyed it ever since. I have a passion for sharing my love of music with my students. I like to make my lessons fun, engaging, and informative so the students can get the most out of every lesson. I was taught using the Suzuki method, and I incorporate parts of that method into my own teaching.

I like to learn what other interests my students have as its easier for them to relate to something they are familiar with. As a piano student who also had a passion for ballet, I appreciated it when my piano teacher found similarities between a musical gesture and ballet. it made it easier to understand what she was teaching me, and it was significant enough that I remembered it with ease.

I look forward to meeting you and working with you to further your musical education!

Abigail is amazing!! Extremely knowledgeable. My daughter left saying she "loved" her lesson and teacher. Hours later and she is still talking about it!! Can't wait for her next lesson!!
