I had an education in a Masters in Engineering and a Masters in Information Systems from Southern Illinois University. I worked in the Information Systems field for more than two decades. I have a solid passion for tutoring Math. Currently, I am teaching Algebra1. The ability to explain an intricate concept most simply, treating the needs of each student as unique and molding me to teach accordingly, an unwavering determination to help my students make serious progress and my high level of patience and care are some of the reasons my students excel in the subjects I teach. After explaining an algebra concept, I work out a few examples with detailed steps to help understand the application of concepts in the illustrations. Then I assign a few problems from a problem set that I develop which helps them to apply the concepts. I also help my students prepare for homework, quizzes, and exams. I am always prepared for every session of teaching. Knowing the topics of difficulty, needs, and priority ahead of my tutoring session I formulate a plan for the tutoring session accordingly which becomes a structured approach to tutoring. I teach online using a tablet and Microsoft OneNote software. My students follow my steps and explanations via a real-time screen-sharing technology. At the end of the teaching session, I share my notes. This helps my students focus on learning instead of note taking. It is an interactive tutoring where both sides can freely communicate.
