In the past 10 years, I have lived and worked in the Arab world, was formally educated in Arabic, and taught the Arabic language to an array of students.
I hold a dual degree with honors from The University of Texas at Austin in Psychology and Middle Eastern Languages and Cultures. I studied directly under Mahmoud al-Batal, the esteemed professor and writer of the Al-Kitaab textbook series, Mahmoud al Batal and bec. (Yup, probably that textbook you're using right now.)
With training in both cognition/development and Arabic, I have taught all kinds of people over the past 5 years. My students range from college students to professional educators, humanitarian workers to businessman and politicians, emergency room surgeons to US Army Personnel, and regular people who are just interested in learning the language.
I specialize in one-on-one teaching and make custom lessons for your learning style- Arabic is an awesome language and I will help you learn it well.

Aaron is the third Arabic teacher I've worked and is definitely the best in all respects.
He is very organized and efficient and pleasant to learn from. I've developed much better and structured habits in how I approach my grammar and understanding of Arabic- he made it feel so easy. He challenges me just enough so that I can learn where I need to grow.
Great at teaching at any level.
Aaron breaks down his lessons by category which is extremely helpful. Smart and professional man who knows his craft. He can explain the same concept/idea in 10 different ways and won't just 'bypass' anything you aren't completely clear on. Cool guy, patient, worth all my time and money.+ Read More
Aaron’s a really cool guy and a great teacher. I took lessons with him 3x a week and my Arabic improved so quickly. I scored high on my tests and got to exactly where I wanted to be. He is straightforward and to the point but not at all uptight. Definitely highly recommend.+ Read More

This is the first time I decided to work with an Arabic tutor online and am so glad I did. Aaron gets nuances of the Arabic language and has taught me to do the same. Learning from him is giving me a new found appreciation for how beautiful the language is. Aaron obviously knows the language extremely well and makes focused lessons, specifically for what I need and how I learn. My lessons are going really well and my family members tell me how much I am improving every week. Highly recommend! Aaron is an amazing teacher!+ Read More
I am almost seventy years old. When I thought of traveling to the Middle East, I spent a year trying to learn basic Arabic- I bought books, videos, and even an online program. I spent so much money but couldn't learn it well. I thought maybe I just was not able to because of my age or because it was too difficult.
I saw Aaron's page online by chance and decided to give it one last try. Aaron is so skilled in how he teaches- he is creative and clever and humorous. His patience with me increased my confidence and interest in continuing to learn Arabic even after my trip. After three months of lessons with Aaron, I finally have a grasp on the language and feel comfortable traveling. I look forward to my lessons when I return.
Thank you so much Aaron.
Aaron really is the best language teacher I've had- better than any of my college professors by far. I heard about Aaron from a buddy who had taken lessons with him for 6 months in preparation for a business trip- he raved about Aaron and suggested that I give lessons a shot.
I had taken a handful of Arabic language courses in college, but afterwards I felt like I forgot everything I learned. It was exhausting and frustrating to go back to the material and try to re-learn the basics. Aaron has helped me solidify my basics and made me confident and comfortable understanding and speaking both MSA and colloquial Arabic. He's extremely patient, sincere, and hilarious. He doesn't waste time and knows exactly what he's doing
Awesome awesome teacher!
