Guitar with Aaron L.

Aaron L. is an experienced guitarist and composer based in San Diego. He completed undergraduate and master’s degrees at the University of New Orleans, remaining for 16 years to absorbing the rich music and cultural heritage. His primary teachers were Steve Masakowski and Hank Mackie, and he currently studies with renowned jazz guitarist Jonathan Kreisberg. Now a musician with 30+ years of experience, Aaron is a seasoned performer, having logged hundreds of hours of stage time both as a leader and a side man with a variety of bands ranging from traditional and contemporary jazz, fusion, funk, and rock. His performing experience includes appearances at a variety of music festivals and renowned venues around the US, including appearances at Jazz Fest, French Quarter Fest, Bayou Boogaloo, Spirit of Suwannee Festival, House of Blues, Tipitina’s, Blue Nile, Lion’s Den NYC. Most recently Aaron performs both solo and ensemble gigs around San Diego. Aaron is also an avid and enthusiastic teacher and has 20+ years of experience coaching up and coming guitar, bass, and ukulele students to increase their technical skills and musicality. He loves to guide students to find joy and expressiveness in their playing.
