Upright Bass with Aaron K.

I started playing music when I was 10 years-old. My brother handed me a bass and taught me a song, and I just went from there. That just happened to be the same year for me to start beginning band. For band, I chose to be a percussionist. A year later was when I started teaching myself how to play guitar. Throughout high school I excelled in jazz band and marching band on bass and percussion respectively. When college came around, I chose to keep pursuing life as a musician. I spent my first two years of college studying both percussion music education and bass jazz performance at Missouri State University. After those first two years I dropped the music education portion and decided to make bass my official primary instrument, and I am currently working towards finishing up my bachelors degree. *** Lesson Details *** I'm a pretty laid back guy, but I do like to know my students are actually learning. I will try to cater to my students by teaching them what they want to learn about, but I will also make sure they will get the foundation of what they need to become a successful musician. The most important thing though, is for the student to be having fun, which will make the learning easier. *** Specialties *** Jazz and rock
