About Joe F.

Hello! my names Joe. I am originally from Los Angeles, California; where I studied instrumental performance in guitar at Hollywood's Musicians Institute. I have since moved to florida to play with an extraordinarily group of people known as None Other. The wide range of events that we have performed at has allowed us to develop an extensive repertoire that covers the most popular songs of every decade from the 50s to today. learn to play any style! including: jazz, funk, rock n' roll, metal, blues, classical or acoustic bring your favorite songs and we'll have you playing them in no time :) p.s. if you like classic rock and heavy metal, we will definitely be having a good time! *** Lesson Details *** The most important thing here is to have fun! playing the guitar can require an immense amount of discipline but it is very important to remember why we picked it up in the first place! I will be teaching from a collection Hal Leonard books that I have acquired, as well as the Musicians Institute curriculum. If you have a favorite book of yours you would like to learn from, that is welcome as well. Beginners will start out with learning about their instrument and the equipment used with it. We will cover guitar and amp anatomy, tuning, picks, strings and cables, simple scales, barre chords and strumming exercises. With advanced players we can go more in-depth into harmony & theory and technique. e.g. modes of the major scale, chord extensions, and proper methods of execution. improvisation and ear-training are covered as well. Stomp-box FX and professional audio equipment can also be discussed; all subjects are equally important in the creation of music *** Studio Equipment *** Lessons in living room with chairs and parents can sit in on the lesson. *** Travel Equipment *** Including: guitar, small practice amp and tuner *** Specialties *** I specialize in rock and roll and heavy metal music. I know many musical styles including: jazz, country, blues, classic rock, neoclassical and classical acoustic techniques

Great teacher! Joe is a great talented young guitar player whom i have been blessed to work with for the past 2-3 years straight. He's nice and easy to work with, will teach u any song, and will help you with anything....He's managed to put up with my obsessions over the years and has been great!
