I was born in Argentina. I began playing bass when I was ten years old, while my younger brother began playing drums. I started taking bass classes, and also formed several bands as a bass player, although the drums had always been sounding in the back of my head. After listening to Tool’s Danny Carey and Mike Portnoy of Dream Theater, at the age of 17, I realized the drums were my true love, and began studying the instrument. I continued playing bass in several bands, until I joined the band The Evenfall as a drummer, in 2009. Ryan W. holds a BA in Music with an emphasis in Performance, Composition, and Recording Arts. Raised in San Diego, California, Ryan's musical career began by playing tenor saxophone under the direction of Steve Steinberg and playing guitar in various rock and roll groups. Ryan began his formal percussion training at Cal Poly under Dr. John Astaire and during this time showed an interest in music composition.
