Cory is a very inspired teacher. According to Brayden, his student, he makes the piano a very approachable skill and makes it fun as well. Cory is patient, creative and kind to the very new student and, being that he continues on his own musical journey, encourages guided expression. Brayden is learning the Blues as well as reading music!
Thank you, Cory!

Cory is an awesome teacher!

I've studied with Cory for 4 years now, and I just want everyone to know what a great teacher Cory is. I've not only developed immensely in my musical skill, but I've also noticed when I'm working with other musicians that my studies have really set me apart from my peers. Cory has an awesome recording studio with all the professional stuff you'd come to expect in a major studio, Protools HD, Logic 9, a great Mic Pre & Compressor, along with an awesome tube Mic for recording great vocals. I've known Cory for 14 years now, and he's a lot of fun to work with and learn from. I've also been to many of his gigs, and I can assure you he's an awesome performer. Glenn

Brenton K.

Los Angeles, CA

I picked up the fiddle a few years ago. It's much smaller than the bass, but utilizes many of the same principals in performance. I play with my youth orchestra - Santa Monica Youth Orchestra - every week and help the section sound more cohesive.

Once you start shifting a whole bunch, we'll get you off to a more experienced fiddle player.

About Brenton

"Music is the best!" --Frank Zappa That is the only thing I can claim to know for certain. My ideals as a teacher are sound control, fun, and community. I teach all of my students how to play their instrument in a manner which they understand and enjoy. I demonstrate how much fun music can be once my student has the facility to create sound freely. And I inspire them to use this gift for bringing people closer together. Since beginning my musical studies at California State University Northridge, I have been working as a musician in the greater Los Angeles area. Now over a decade later, I continue to perform and teach - enjoying the whole ride wherever it takes me. While my primary instruments are Contrabass and Electric Bass Guitar, I have technical know how on a wide ...

Brenton is just terrific with my 8 year old son who is a beginner. He makes it fun for Gus and my kid actually comes home from violin / fiddle lessons saying "It was awesome!". He then will actually practice at home-- and Gus is normally one lazy kid. I observed one lesson where they laughed through it even as my kid learned. Parents or nanny are welcome to sit in on the lesson or hang out in the comfortable living room just a few feet away. Brenton obviously is really at ease with kids and kids respond to him equally well.

Travis H.

Los Angeles, CA

I teach all levels!

About Travis

I grew up in Los Angeles and went on to attend the University of Redlands .While at University, I played in the University Orchestra and a variety of other ensembles. In addition to violin, I also studied jazz guitar, so classical music is definitely not the only musical style I am familiar with. I am lucky enough to study with Jeanne Skrocki, who is currently the Concertmaster of the Redlands Symphony Orchestra and the Assistant Concertmaster of the Pacific Symphony. My musical experience with violin is not confined to classical! I also have experience with other styles, including Irish folk music and bluegrass. While classical is my bread and butter, I can take a more rounded approach in terms of exposure to musical styles if desired. *** Lesson Details *** My approach to ...

The best music teacher!!

My 11-year-old son has been taking violin lessons with Travis for a couple months now and loves it! Travis always has a smile on his face, comes on time, and is professional. My son had zero experience with this instrument before; so it was important for me to find a teacher who is patient, and Travis definitely is. He has a good sense for when his students are ready for a little push or need some extra attention in some spots. I highly recommend him!

She is able to teach many genres of music to all levels of musicianship, whether beginner or advanced, whether they want to learn Mozart or Coldplay, Aretha Franklin or Joni Mitchell . Having fun while honing the craft is the way to an enduring love of playing and is a principle she always uses in her lessons. Carmen has a special gift with very young children; she is able to keep children interested, engaged, inspired and challenged. She has a patience with children that is extraordinary because she ...

Dalila is a fantastic teacher. I've learned so much from her in the short time that I have been taking lessons that I would highly recommend her. Since I took lessons for about six months, person to person, with another teacher I find absolutely nothing lacking with learning to play the violin online. I wish I would have started with Dalila from the very beginning.
