Because of Anthony's extensive work as a public school elementary music and band teacher, he has worked with beginners and understands how to get the most out of young students. Anthony has also worked at the college level and knows how to develop technique and tone with older students.

The flute is my strongest secondary instrument. I can teach beginning level flute lessons to about a 4th year level. We will work on tone in all registers of the instrument, dynamics, and general musicianship. We will learn and review basic scales, arpeggios, and technique. I also encourage the exploration of extended techniques like the 'jet whistle.' I can incorporate music theory, conducting, and music composition on the side depending on the student's interest. I can start beginners at an early age starting on fife and then help them switch over to flute as they grow. I have a lot of patience and experience helping students learn how to blow into the flute.
My Price: There are a lot of people on this site who teach lessons; I've looked through profiles...and their prices. Many of them do not have degrees in music and/or their lessons are expensive. I am a professional musician and educator with the lowest rates I can afford. My pricing is low to be competitive and does not in any way reflect the quality of the lesson. I believe good lessons should be affordable to everyone at a weekly basis. My Teaching Experience: I have taught general music K-8 in a charter school and basically had to build a music program with no funding and almost no supplies. I left this job in favor of teaching privately because the staff and administration were horribly disrespectful and unappreciative of what I did for their school. Teaching privately ...

Hello, my name is Dylan Zenner. I am a music education major at Arizona State University, and I have been teaching both musically, and academically for 2011. It is my belief no two students learn the same way, and that is why I like to take an individualized approach to each of my students. I firmly believe that you are capable of learning anything you set your mind to, if it is presented in a way that you understand. I try very hard to get to know my students, and the way they learn best so I can give them the most effective learning experience possible. Although I am a musician, I have previously studied electrical engineering at a university level, and am fully capable of tutoring in any subject at a high school level. I am a very strong mathematician, as well as writer, and I would ...
I have been teaching flute for 12 years. I teach in a therapeutic style, using my music therapy training to be as observant, adaptive and flexible as I need to be for the student's benefit. I teach at the student's pace and to their interests, while building their musicality, music theory, improvisation and performance skills. 1-2 times a year, we work towards building a repertoire of 1-4 pieces (depending on the student) to play at a local assisted living facility or skilled nursing facility.
I have been teaching music lessons for 13 years. I teach piano, flute, guitar and ukulele. I have played piano for most of my life, then started playing the flute in elementary school, then the guitar and ukulele in college. I attended California State University, Northridge, where I received my bachelor's degree in Music Therapy. My music therapy training has helped me to be more observant, sensitive and flexible in my music lessons. I am better able to tailor music lessons to my student's abilities, interests and needs. While I do not provide music therapy in music lessons, I do use a therapeutic approach when teaching music lessons.
