"Alex was my Movement and Voice/Speech instructor in my graduate programme. I had done my undergrad in acting overseas and then moved to LA to complete my
MFA in Acting. In my undergrad programme, I absolutely detested every Tuesday and Friday when we had Movement and Voice...but all that changed when Alex became my teacher for these subjects. Suddenly these were my favourite subjects. She made me actually look forward to going to class at 9am. I looked forward to what I was going to learn next from her.
She was so attentive to ALL her students, no matter your level. She always found time to work with you in whatever you were struggling with. She really truly cared about us. It was unlike anything I'd experienced with any other teacher I'd have ever. At one point, I was victim to some intimidation from another student in my class. Alex was the first person I confided in and she guided me through what I should do and how I should handle it, she was completely there for me, even allowing me to call her past 10pm to calm me down after one particularly bad encounter with said student.
Her lessons are prepared, structured and completely engaging. Somehow she is able to detect exactly what you personally need to work on and makes sure you are offered the most appropriate advice that best suits your personal needs. I can't even quite express how much I have learnt from her in the short four months that she was my teacher. She has exposed me to so many different techniques and exercises which, through her guidance, afforded me the opportunity to choose what worked for me.
If there is one thing that you cannot deny about Alex, she genuinely cares about her students, sometime to the detriment of her own life. She is an extraordinary teacher and an even more exceptional woman.
As cliche as this is, she inspires me to not only be a better actor, but to just be a better person."

"Christine communicates a well as anyone I've ever worked with. Great sense of humor, knows her stuff, and knows how to get it across to her students. She
involves herself constantly in continuing education, so that she always represents a work in constant progress, rather than resting on her laurels and remaining static. I recommend her highly to anyone looking for a great teacher and coach.
She's the best."

"I have known Connie since I first started acting almost 8 years ago. I have been in productions for which she was the director, writer, producer, and/or a
follow actor. Many of the productions have involved children.
Connie is a true treasure to the DMV entertainment community. She is knowledgeable, professional, and personable. Even with the youngest children, she has a wonderful ability to bring out their best performances through her warm and gentle methods. She builds strong bonds with her actors and students. These bonds allow her to adjust her methods to meet each person needs, which helps her actors and students to learn and to feel confident in their abilities.
It truly is a pleasure to work with Connie. I always try to become a part of any production on which she is working because I know the quality will be fantastic and the experience will be amazing. Plus, I know it will simply be a lot of fun!"

"I booked 4 acting sessions with Ms. Ollie for my daughter. Ms. Ollie did a phenomenal job starting from scratch, coaching my daughter for her up coming au
dition. My daughter had no acting experience, she was shy, and soft spoken but in just 4 short days, Ms. Ollie turned her into a confident, outspoken young actress. My daughter nailed her audition thanks to Ollie!! I will highly recommend her as your acting coach."
I have been teaching for 14 years: kids, teens-even beginner vocalists in their seventies! Rockers, an "Idol" finalist, church musicians, lapsed opera singers, preschoolers. ...these are just a few of
singers I have worked with, in person, in the classroom, and ONLINE (I just love teaching singers all over the country and the world!) .
What you get in voice lessons with me: laughter as you learn! I have learned solid classical vocal technique from the very best . I have trained with respected opera singers who have performed with companies such as Lyric Opera of Chicago, as well as leaders in vocal pedagogy. I believe everyone deserves the same useful tools- no matter what it is you like to sing!
I am patient and customize each and every lesson. Need more time on ear training? No problem . How about beginning music theory? I can help with that, too. Are you feeling more confident, and want to focus more on song polishing and getting into the heart of your songs? Let's do it! Confidence an issue? I am a pro with very shy people. I'll get you out of your shell, relaxed, and having fun right away so we can free that voice of yours! I have worked with many singers who have been diagnosed with anxiety: you're in good hands and you can trust me with your voice.
I am also a drama teacher who has worked with groups as well as individuals. I love working with beginning acting students! I'll assist with monologue prep, improvisation, voice for the stage, body awareness, and more. I love being on stage and want you to see how fun it is to jump in and let go,too!
If you're interested in beginner ear training or music theory, I'd love to help you with that as well. I present it in a no-nonsense and fun manner! I'll provide you with simple worksheets to increase your confidence in learning the language of music, as well as run you through increasingly challenging patterns and sight reading for the ear training. Don't be afraid: I make it easy and customize it all.
I have been singing for over 20 years. Performances with the Lira Ensemble and Opera on Tap Chicago, and in master classes with international opera stars Alan Held and Lorna Haywood. Coaching with Collaborative Works Chicago and Rossini Opera Festival. Additional studies in Rock Vocals, Voice Care, Improvisational Comedy, Holistic Voice, Acting, Foreign languages, Dalcroze, Speaking Voice for Singers, , Commercial Vocal Styles/Belting with Lisa Popeil, teacher mentoring workshop with Maestro David Jones. Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance. Additional workshops in Vocal Pedagogy with David Sabella-Mills, Jeannie LoVetri. Dr. Karen Prokop.
Certified CoreSinging Instructor- one of only a few in the U.S. trained by Meribeth Dayme, PhD, respected clinician and authority in vocal pedagogy and author of "The Singing Book".
My students do a variety of great things! One was a top 12 "American Idol" finalist. Current students perform in musicals, top rated choirs, and professional rock , jazz, and blues bands. Many have won awards for their singing at competitions such as NATS. Students of mine have also been accepted to prestigious performing arts high schools and undergraduate music programs.
I think if you can speak, you can sing. Everyone can and should sing! Don't let anything hold you back. I am a people person that is very passionate about music and singing, and want to be the teacher you'll trust with your voice. Come laugh and learn with me!

Molly is great. Very energetic and patient. Look forward to learn more from her.
There is no such thing as talent. You simply need love and passion for what you want to achieve. My main focus is to get you excited about learning new things!
I am a professional software and web
developer who is a chess expert and competes in table tennis tournaments on the weekends! There are many things I love doing but I am most passionate about meeting new people and getting them excited about learning new skills. I love waiting patiently and experiencing that moment with my student where they have their "aha" moment!
I have mastered skills in many different fields. My best skill is my ability to clearly communicate my ideas with the student and help guide them through their problems patiently. I have been coaching most of my subjects for over 6+ years now.
Whether your goal is to improve academically by getting A's in your classes, land that perfect job, or improve in sports, I am able to help you in your academic, professional, and athletic pursuits.

As a complete beginner in computer programming I had no idea where to start. Rafeh was able to help me gain a better understanding of the numerous languages and point me in the right direction. Awesome teacher and nice guy.

I have been working with Rafeh for 6 months and the results are far better than I could have imagined. When I started, I was a total programming novice. I began an online Coursera class in R programming and Rafeh’s help was the only way I could have completed it. He is a flexible and patient teacher. I found that he was committed to my full understanding of foundational concepts. He was not merely concerned with getting the answers right and getting through the class. Together, he guided me through several online courses using both Python and R. He has given me enough of a programming base to be accepted into a master’s program for analytics. This wouldn’t have been possible without his help.
Rafeh is a pleasure to work with. He has a friendly demeanor and is flexible with his scheduling. He is very knowledgeable in computer science, yet is able to explain to a total beginner. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

I have a Masters degree in Theatre History and Criticism (Theatrical Critical Theory). I have teaching experience and have been exposed to many different types of teaching styles and locales, (i.e. c
lassroom, studio).I have a Bachelors degree in Fine Arts with a focus on acting, Academia.com holds some of my work and I can certainly offer more. I have always been an actor first, simultaneously I have believed that teacher's are born not bred. At the risk of tooting my own horn; I am both, an actor and a teacher with more than a few credentials to support those facts. Peace and Kind Regards

Taking lessons with Kay has been one of the best decisions of my singing career. She has helped me prepare for auditions across the United States, built my confidence as a multi-genre performer, and increased my range dramatically. She not only has the knowledge, experience, and skill set to help performers take their passions to the next level, she also has the caring heart of a mentor to help you make the decisions that are best for you and your performance goals.

Top 5 Wildest Method Acting Techniques in Hollywood History
If you've ever watched an actor disappear into their role, shedding genuine tears or adopting mannerisms that aren't their own, then you've seen method acting techniques in action. Method acting is taught everywhere from Hollywood to Broadway. But a few notable actors are well-known for taking it to award-winning extremes, making enormous p
