We did not feel that this was a good match for our daughter. I have taken voice lessons before and have 10 years background in music. We did not appreciate the teaching style and quality of lessons. We decided not to pursue this or any further service with Take Lessons due to their lack in transparency of their business policies.

I used Aperture for years to adjust my photos, but when Apple stopped supporting it, I subscribed to Adobe Photoshop Lightroom CC. LR is comparable to Aperture, but neither does a good job of fixing a blown out sky; PS offers several methods of dealing with this problem, none of them particularly simple. PS is a complex, daunting professional tool and I was stymied and discouraged. Nick taught me how to use PS to solve my problem and gave me confidence that I could, with study and practice, learn how to use PS to solve other problems. The important thing is that Nick listened to me as to my goal and directed his teaching to that goal. He showed enormous patience as I interrupted him with questions every 20 seconds. To sum up: it's unrealistic to try to learn PS in three hours. I needed specific knowledge to get over a difficult hurdle, and Nick taught me what I needed to use PS to solve my problem. I believe that I can now go forward to do a much better job adjusting and developing my photos, and that I have a better grasp on how to learn more about PS. Thank you, Nick.

When I spoke with Frank on the phone, he was apologetic that there will be construction going on during the private parkour lesson in the facility. I told him I did not mind as long as his instruction was great. Well, the lesson with Frank proved to be outstanding. He had a positive energy, was very encouraging and patient, and he knew how to observe, break things down to manageable pieces, and build on student's success. My 13 year old son was also impressed with Frank and really liked the way he taught.

Acting Tips: What's in your Toolbox?
As with any profession, actors have tools. Just as a doctor needs a stethoscope or a fireman needs a hose, there are certain items an actor must keep in their toolbox. I usually start classes or lessons by asking my new students or clients what they think these tools might be. Sometimes, the answer is very literal ("Script!"), and other times abstract ("Passion!"). None of these is a wrong answer. Being an actor or artist is subjective and everyone's process is different and valid. But th
