Tim is great, he is teaching my son so much, he loves going to his lessons and learns so much from Tim, he taught him how to read music and the different types of drums and the different sounds they make, He tells everyone he is taking drum lessons. Tim answers any questions we may have and knows the drums very well, he is also very flexible and outgoing, Tirstan has lots of fun and enjoys his lessons very much. I will recommend Tim to anyone who is looking for a drum instructor.

Tim is a great teacher. He introduced Teddy to the different types of drums and cymbals. He allowed Teddy to play the different drums so that he could hear that each drum has a different sound. He also showed him how could change the pitch of the drum. Teddy really enjoys his lessons.

Victoria W. Philadelphia, PA

About Victoria

My name is Victoria. I'm originally from beautiful San Diego, California, and I began my musical journey at age twelve while still back west. I received private instruction on guitar from a professional guitarist who focused on technique and classical playing. About a year later, I began playing guitar and bass in groups that ranged from church ensembles to rock bands, and even spent two years playing in an orchestra. I've instructed nearly 30 students (of varying ages) on both bass and guitar while serving as a music director at two churches and serving as a student music director at Point Loma Nazarene University. I also received a certification through The Contemporary Music Center, now located in Nashville. Here, I acquired further skills in live performance, studio work, and ...

Victoria is an excellent teacher! She is precise in her observations of my playing and the subsequent constructive critique, which has already helped me to tremendously improve the way I play each note as well as difficult chords, such as B minor (difficult for me as a beginner). She is very patient, as well as very smart and extremely personable. She helps me to define my goals at each lesson. I am thrilled to have Victoria as a teacher and I will be signing up for additional lessons with Victoria.

I have a lot of fun taking lessons with Victoria. She tailors each lesson to meet my interests and skill level. She was able to immediately identify the areas I need the most improvement and I have already progressed in these areas after only a few lessons.

Wonderful personality, skill and insight

I just wanted to pop in and say how happy I am to be learning guitar. At 51 some may hesitate, but I promise you it's still possible. If you have a love and a want to learn, you can make it happen. Victoria has been wonderful. She's always helpful and supportive and tailors her lessons towards what direction I want to go with my music. She's always smiling and makes lessons fun, the time passes way too quick. So if you are wanting to learn an instrument, then go out there and do it. Maybe if you are lucky and in the Philadelphia area, you'll be able to get Victoria to teach you as well.
Michael C. Philadelphia, PA

About Michael

Michael C. was eleven years old when he began to play the electric bass guitar. He decided to get an electric bass because it was the one instrument needed to start a band among his friends. In addition to playing the electric bass, Michael enjoyed time practicing on the guitar and piano in high school. Transferring the knowledge and finger technique to the guitar came easy because of the similarities between guitar and the bass. And growing up with an upright piano in the house always lead to tinkering and eventually became a proficiency after college. In 1996 Michael enrolled at the the Philadelphia University of the Arts. He was awarded a presidential merit scholarship and a university grant based on his entrance audition. During his studies Michael was recruited for a student ...
