Janice M.

Hollywood, FL

About Janice

I love to use mnemonics and rhymes as a tool in learning, especially in the beginning. I stress lots of practice but lots of fun. I ensure my students understand that they will reach their goals if they trust in the process. I use a tender touch approach as oppose to tough love because that's what always worked best for me. I received training in classical piano and clarinet, as well as music theory over a period of 11 years, and performed and perfected my skill for many more after that. I studied music theory and performance for both instruments at Florida International University. *** Lesson Details *** From week to week we begin each lesson with students playing what they practice and learned in the previous lesson. I use the Alfred's Piano Library as a basic course for ...

My daughter Julia, 9 years old, loves Ms. Janice. She's been taking lessons for one year. Not only have I seen improvement in her playing but in her confidence as well. Janice is great at being patient in guiding Julia and praising her efforts and successes. I am very happy with her teaching method.

Mitchell C.

Miami, FL

About Mitchell

With almost 20 years of music education experience, I have developed a super fun and effective teaching method that has proven to work. I am a kid at heart and love working with children. And as the oldest child of 6, I possess the necessary patience and enthusiasm for their learning development. In addition, I have worked with many adult students who initially thought it was "too late" for them to learn an instrument. They proved themselves wrong and were very successful with their new found talent. I have been a professional recording artist and live performer since the age of 15. I began teaching around the same time as a way of earning extra spending money. As the years went on, I fell more in love with teaching and formed a career out of it. So come join me on this musical journey ...

I have taken lessons from Mitchell and have grown leaps and bounds in my ability to not on become a better guitar player, but also learning the fundamentals so that I can play on my own. He is the ultimate professional and his own skills as a musician show up when he is teaching.

Nicole is a great singer and musician! She has an amazing voice and really knows how to sing which truly stands out from the crowd. She is the best vocal coach that anyone can have. My daughter and son love her and completely enjoy every single class. Since they have been taking lessons with Nicole, both of them have increased their vocal range, developed confidence in performance, as well as learning a lot about theory. She has a vast knowledge about music and can really get the best out of the student. I definitely highly recommend her to anyone, from beginner to advanced, pursuing a career in the music field.

Dyce K.

Hollywood, FL

About Dyce

Dyce’s action-packed lessons get aspiring students learning real songs in no time—all while teaching them music theory and scales that connects the music to relatable, practical theory. His custom-tailored lessons are based on this realization. “I know that all of my students are unique, both as people, and as musicians,” Dyce states, “so I realized that my lessons should celebrate these differences.” Instead of following a rigid, “cookie-cutter” approach to teaching, he makes allowances for these differences, and custom tailors a lesson plan that enriches their musical tastes, goals, and strengths. Dyce has learned, over two decades of playing and teaching professionally, when to push students—and when to stay out of the way. This sort of expert guidance helps students flourish, ...

Dyce is an awesome guitarist, and above all, a nice guy; versatile in his playing, genuinely interested in the STUDENT and his/her goals, and incredibly knowledgeable in all things music. Apart from just learning how to master the guitar, you can also learn about amps, effect pedals, boosters, EQ, and the list goes on..

You won't go wrong!

I've taken about 4 lessons from Dyce so far, and

I have been with 2 teachers before him, and I have faced the same problem, they do not listen.

Being a married man in my 60's I don't have much time to practice, and thus I cannot waste my time learning things that will keep me (not) doing what I want for a long time.

I told them, the same thing I told Dyce, I want to learn to play Blues/Rock Lead and Rhythm guitar asap, not by doing (mostly) exercises, but by doing exercise that will quickly lead me to start playing simple Blues/Rock songs, this way I don't get board, and give up playing (which I do not want to do).

From the first day I started with Dyce he listened and has continued to do so, he has given me simple scales and songs to help me start playing lead guitar rite away, and I know that Dyce will keep me going steady towards my goal, of being a proficient Blues/Rock guitar player as soon as possible.

Dyce knows what it takes to get one playing quickly, and is not afraid of (loosing) a student too quickly do to him giving the student some short cuts, that shows that he truly cares and listens, and that he is confident about him self as a teacher.
