I have been playing the piano since age 3 and violin since age 8. Besides regularly performing, teaching has been one of the most important things in my life. Students' interests will be taken into consideration for the pieces chosen and the style of lessons given. Teaching has always been my passion. I get to know the personality of my students so we can work together to bring out the musical talent in each of them. Student recital is held at least once every year. I encourage all students to participate in the recital.

Hsiao-Lan started teaching my 3 year old. She has incredible patience and shows the kids how much fun you can have while playing the piano. My daughter loved her and was always looking forward to her piano classes. I would highly recommend this teacher to anyone who is looking for their kids to have fun while they learn to play the piano. Unfortunately, we were not able to continue the classes but in a near future i would love for her to teach my daughter once again. Hsiao-Lan truly has a gift in teaching young children.

wonderful teacher

I asked my 10 year old son what rating I should give Dr. Wang and he said "5 stars". She is very patient and friendly when teaching my son who is a bit shy. She has chosen songs that are fun that he enjoys playing, and I never hear a complaint about going to lessons. She is helpful with all aspects of learning to play the piano, and I have noticed his playing becoming more personal rather than simply following notes.

nice and patient

The teacher is nice and patient, My daughter just turned 4 when she first started the lesson. I was afraid she was going to find this difficult and boring. But instead she has enjoyed each lesson and has made surprising progress. The lesson is talored to her short attention span, mixed with games and fun motivation. We have enjoyed the lessons.

I started classes March 2015 and can honestly say Bo is an excellent instructor. He is very patient especially with someone who had no experience. He has a diverse range of taste in music so if you don't want to pay classical he can teach you the blues, jazz, rock, etc. I would definitely recommend this instructor for anyone from no experience to experience.

Learned a lot in 30 minutes. He broke down music theory to very fundamental, easy to understand components. I have met different guitar instructors in the past but haven't learned and understood as much compared to what I learned from him in half an hour.
