Having fun!

Dear Allie, We are so happy to have found you this summer. It is amazing to see Nicholas stay so focused and interested for an hour at the piano. His love of music seems to have grown since we started lessons with you. We really appreciate your capacity to adapt to his needs and to keep him excited. Thanks!
Justin P. Riverdale, GA

About Justin

My name is Justin P. I have a love for music that started when I was two years old when I would always want to play on any piano, or keyboard that was around. At the age of five years old, my parents signed me up for piano where I played for 13 years at the The Piano Academy in College Park, Georgia. At the age of ten years old, I joined the band at Fayette Middle School where I started playing percussion. Upon graduation from high school and the Piano Academy, I attended the Atlanta Institute of Music where I studied in a two year rigorous musicianship program. I completed the program with a Certificate of Musicianship in Music Production, Engineering and Recording. *** Travel Equipment *** I will provide the music. Students must provide a piano *** Specialties *** Piano

I've been taking lessons with Justin for like a year and a half. Not only is extremely knowledgeable about piano, he teaches it well too. I previously had about 8 years of piano experience, and he catered to my level and knew exactly how to teach me. He also works around my schedule and comes to my home which is super convenient, and unlike any other instructor I've had. Justin is very professional and friendly. I recommend him as an instructor to anyone no matter your piano level.

I love playing the guitar. I think you will too when you see the results that come from dedication and motivation. Everyone who plays the guitar is a student of the instrument. The greatest players in the world are still learning. If you are a beginner or an advanced player there is always room for improvement. No matter your skill level, I can help you grow in knowledge and technique. *** Lesson Details *** I can teach you in the styles of country, blues, folk, rock, pop, and jazz. Music is organized sound. I will teach you how music works and how to apply that knowledge to the guitar. Trust me, music theory is NOT complicated. You do not have to read music to understand music theory. Within a few months if you dedicate plenty of time and effort to the lesson materials you ...

Lessons have been underway for only a short time. Notwithstanding, Jason's teaching has been relevant, responsive to the student's needs and designed to motivate the student. He himself is quite knowledgeable of the Guitar and music theory, and a fine guitarist from what is observed in the short time we have been working together. I am pleased with this instructor and am looking forward to working with him in the weeks to come.

I have toured across the U.S. and have shared the stage with acts as varied as Styx, Heart, Foreigner, Corey Smith, Drivin' & Cryin', Seven Mary Three, and Quiet Riot. *** Lesson Details *** My students can expect their lessons to be laid back but still goal oriented. I strive to tailor lessons to the personal learning styles and musical preferences of my students. If the student wants to be the next solo-guitar shredder or introspective guitar songwriter, I want to give him/her the tools needed to succeed. After just a few months (with consistent practice at home), my students will be able to not only play along with their favorite ...

I wish school was this fun

Ms. Shannon's lessons are fun and exciting. I wasn't sure if I was going to like taking lessons even though I did want to learn to play. She makes the lessons fun and she is very patient and not intimidating.

builds confidence

Shannon is an excellent teacher. She makes the lessons fun. She helps the student feel confident in their abilities. Shannon encourages the student to meet the challenges they face. She understands each of her student's strengths and challenges and develops individualized lessons to meet their needs. She helps students feel comfortable during her lessons and makes sure they can practice independently with confidence. She hosts recitals so her students have chance to show off their skills and socialize with each other. I would highly recommend Shannon as a piano teacher.

I really like Michael's method! My 5-year old started violin lessons, and after attending a few sessions I decided to take hybrid violin and octave viola ("chin cello") lessons from Michael as well. So far so good, and my kid has a good and fun time learning in-studio... *and* practicing at home!

I knew that I had made a good choice for a teacher when I saw some of Micheal's techniques. working with my son Alex. If Alex is not getting it, Micheal will try several ways to get the point across. From Warm ups to changing hands to learn a new piece. He does what it takes so that the student excels. He also infuses his personal experiences into the lesson when appropriate.
