Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese practice and is sometimes referred to as a moving meditation. It can help with high blood pressure, and is a great way to practice relaxation techniques. Tai Chi helps improve balance and flexibility.

I have been teaching Tai Chi in the Taoist Tai Chi style since 2009, certified in set leading and beginner instruction.

I can teach you two Taoist sequences - the 18 movement as well as the 108 moves. I usually recommend new students learn the 18 moves first, get this memorized and then move into the 108 moves.

"It has been my pleasure to study with Master Ron Pfeiffer, since the Fall of 2014 when I first learned about Tai Chi at U.W. Parkside in Kenosha, Wisconsin. I had broken my left shoulder a few years earlier, and could no longer practice karate. But Tai Chi is the oldest of the martial arts, and my past experience was not lost in time. It is going on 8 years now, after 34 years of Shorei Kempo Karate by Sensei, William H. Foster. During this time with Ron, I have also had the opportunity of working with Master Linda Arksey in the U.K. Together, they have combined over 80 years of Tai Chi practice and teaching to provide their students with excellent quality teaching. They have formed an "alliance, " and thus the name of their combined school "International Tai Chi Alliance." Tai Chi requires balance, breathing, posture, relaxation and a proper upright stance position or "body structure." We keep our body relaxed before starting any form of exercise, using the concept of the "Five Bows," the arms are loose, the legs are a safe distance apart and the spine is upright, but also relaxed. Tai Chi is most helpful, as a series of exercises and postures, helping to enhance leg strength, balance and immunity. The "13 Postures" are the foundation in Tai Chi Ch'uan.. We learn simple things like "baby steps," walking on our tip-toes, as we did when we were very young. As people get older, they tend to lose balance, and walk hunched over. When they fall, and they will, it is life- threatening over time. We also learn fun exercises like "skipping" steps, and walking backwards. This website is now and will be an excellent resource for all who want to make their health and their lives better, and longer. ."
