My name is Justin and I have been playing guitar for over 20 years. I am always learning new things about not only guitar playing, but music in general. Over the years I have been a regular guitarist at church gigs, played random shows, learned cover songs for band settings, jammed with friends for creative ideas and exploration, and have read, studied, and pushed myself to be a better musician and guitar player. I have taken lessons from local guitar players myself, and I am currently enrolled in Jazz guitar courses in school. I am also pretty strong in my understanding of music theory.

What I have to offer you is a better understanding of music, and better control of your instrument through a more fluent technique. If you are interested, I will do all I can to meet you where you are musically, and help you to get to where you want to be. And at the same time, I would like to help you better understand how the mechanics of music operate so that you can eventually map out your own ...

About Justin

Listening to Randy Rhoads got me interested in playing the guitar. The first solo of his that really grabbed me was the one he performed in "Over the Mountain." I thought at the time that no one could possibly play any better than that. But over the years I have been exposed to so many incredible pl

We will work together to develop your skill in the fields of musicianship, theory, reading sheet music, improvising solos or playing rhythm guitar. Its my goal to create well rounded musicians and have fun doing it.

About Emma

I grew up in a family that valued the arts and pursued it in every medium they could get their hands on. My house as a child was filled with music all the time. "I just started talking lessons with Ahmad and already I've learned SO much. As others have mentioned, he tries to get a sense of your musical interests and playing style in order to know you better and how you want to grow as a player.

He knows his music theory and has a great ear, which helps as he explains not only how a song goes, but the fundamental behind it. He also is very prepared with plans and practice sheets and tries to make lessons laid back and enjoyable.

Highly recommend taking lessons from this guy."

"First lesson with Avi was great! I have been playing guitar for about 6 months self-taught and could feel myself plateauing, in need of a teacher. He made things really easy by listening to what I want to improve upon and learn, immediately giving some useful tips on things I had been struggling with, and going over what we could do to achieve my goals. He's very good at explaining things in a way that is clear and doesn't make them seem intimidating, even if it's something I typically have a hard time with. Also, it was a great mix of physical guitar stuff (such as helping me improve barre chords), basic theory to begin with (such as how to form a chord), and also breaking down mental barriers which had previously kept me intimidated by songwriting. I am already much more confident and ready to try new things! Overall, if you are looking to improve at guitar or start for the first time, I recommend Avi."
