Includes singing technique, movement and gestures, repertoire selection, musicality and interpretation, diction, pitch memory, sight-singing, etc., with a focus on classical vocal repertoire, according to the student's experience and needs.

Reading the detailed "About" section below should give an aspiring singer all the information relevant as to how and what I teach, with regard to vocal performance and technique. I was classically trained as a vocalist, and from that training I was able to incorporate the various musical nuances necessary to navigate the world of Classical Voice. I personally feel that a singer trained classically, can cross over into other genres with relative ease, should that be their desire. You will learn the foundation to controlled singing. To capsulize my mission statement as an instructor: You WILL be a better vocalist AND performer. THIS I GUARANTEE!!

Gain a bright but legit sound and more vocal range. Will be asked to learn other genres along with classical songs to enhance voice (stamina/range) and musicality.

Studies will focus on learning the traditions of Bel Canto technique.

We will begin with repertoire from the 24 Italian art songs and vocal songs/exercises from Vaccai.

More advanced students will refer to bel canto arias.

I also have a small music library, and am always looking to further my repertoire knowledge.

My teaching curriculum emphasizes on proper breathing and vocal placement to ensure vocal improvement within a few weeks of lessons. All of these terms may sound scary, but I believe that singing should be a joyful experience and one that will be a positive change in your life and those around you. I teach all genres of music and specialize in audition preparation. I want my students to reach their musical potential and aspirations while having a blast.
