Acrylic Painting Lessons in Tower City. Amazing Teachers.

As a teacher for 7 years one of my favorite things is bringing the arts into teaching. I've taught infants through adults, beginners and advanced, and the one secret I can absolutely tell you about learning, is if you are happy then you are going to learn a lot more! I'm excited to get to know you and make you smile!

Let me tell you a little about the Lessons I have to offer. I have specific curriculums for several categories such as Landscapes, Abstract, Still Life, and Portraits. One of my classes that is trending right now is "Flourish and Bloom" which a where we create an acrylic painting on canvas of a flower wreath with an inspirational word in the center. Experienced teacher of 5 years, specializing in the beginner/intermediate painting student. All ages are welcome. With curriculum building experience as a previously certified Art teacher, I have the expertise to cater to any type of ability or age of student. Lessons are customized and catered to the needs/goals of each student. Not only will you be painting like you've been doing it your whole life in no time, but you will be building a strong foundational knowledge of composition, color theory, masters techniques, optimal materials, and much more. Students can expect to focus on learning a good foundation. I am familiar with several different approaches when working with acrylic paints. They include but are not limited to; direct painting, graphic approach, building up of layers using glazes and dry brushing. I also sensitive to the surfaces acrylic is used on; paper, canvas, fabric, metal and wood are just a few.

I have over 30 years experience with painting, sketching, and Color theory. My passion is to share my knowledge and understanding. I have been consistently teaching groups and a one on one basis for the past 3 years. I understand from an early age the impact art has. I would love to help you build a foundation of art and give you the tools to create when ever you desire. I specialize in beginners/intermediate and will customize each lesson to fit your need. Acrylic Painting Workshops have been proven winners in teaching the fundamentals of acrylic painting, Covering everything from stretching canvas, placing a protective coating and base, paints and brushes with examples to walk you through to creating wonderful pieces of art. For advanced levels the Grisalle method is a mature way of providing an underpainting study for your work.

I have more than 10 years of experience in teaching drawing and painting in university and college.
I cover realistic style to abstract art with watercolor, oil, or acrylic. Also, you will learn a variety of techniques like glazing, impasto, and alla prima. subject matter can start with still life and continue architecture, landscape, and figurative art.
